UP & COMING EVENTS
We celebrate community. We believe that community at our church is one of the 4 main buckets of importance. We take time to celebrate, hear prayer requests, laugh and share. Very Authentic!

CALENDAR of EVENTS

SUNDAY SERIES: AN ORDINARY DAY WITH JESUS: Sundays, October 11 – November 22, 10:00am
Christ entered our broken world to give us life in all its fullness. Not just in pinnacle experiences, but in every situation, every relationship, every activity. As we learn to recognize and welcome Christ's presence into every moment, ordinary days become filled with a tangible sense of God's presence. This series will focus on concrete steps to leverage the ordinary in an effort to invite the extraordinary.

SUNDAY SERIES: ADVENT: Sundays, November 29 - December 20, 10:00am
Every year offers us a new opportunity to focus on the powerful story of the Christ child. Join us as we revisit the ancient story and allow it to transform us one more time. This series will end with a special Christmas Eve service (time: TBA).

OKTOBERFEST: October 4, 11:30am - 2:30pm
Bring your lawn chairs! Bring your favorite German side dish or dessert to share and for the best side dish and dessert contest. We have door prizes, games, and two bounce houses, one for the kids and an obstacle course for the adults.

BACK SNACK PREP: Wednesday Evenings, 6:30pm - 7:30pm
This is New Journey's second year of helping feed hungry kids from two elementary schools in Olathe. We gather at the church office every Wednesday and we sanitize back packs and fill them with weekend food for 170 school children. The program runs from September 30, 2009 to May 12, 2010.

SMALL GROUPS ARE UNDERWAY: But it's not too late to get involved!
As we continue to move toward true transformation and discipleship, small groups will play an important role in deepening your spiritual growth and challenging you to action. The primary emphasis of our small group ministry at New Journey is to care for people - to serve one another, encourage one another, and to provide guidance and application of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

By creating an open, supportive, and nurturing environment, you're encouraged to share your struggles and your triumphs as you undertake the disciplines of faith. Central to each group is prayer. Additionally, a small group offers opportunities to search and grow at your pace, in your way, while learning together and loving one another.

Take some time to pray about your involvement in a small group. If that nagging feeling spurs you to action - drop me an email with your questions. Together we'll find the right small group for you.
