CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We are still in need of volunteeres. Please consider helping in the children's area once every three weeks.  Where do we need help?
  • Nursery -- Care for our babies and toddlers 2 years and younger.  This is the current hot spot!  We've gone from no babies to 4 in a short time!!
  • Games & Crafts: -- Lead a game or craft with our kids ages 3 years to 3rd grade.
  • Prayer Room -- Lead games and activities that have a focus on prayer & pray with our kids ages 3 years - 3rd grade.

HANDS-ON MISSIONS

Back Snack
Will meet at the New Journey office tonight at 6:30 p.m. to double pack for the Thanksgiving week.

Back Snack is now prepping 200 back packs each week. If you would like to be a part of making a difference in your community please feel free to email the church office at feedback@newjourney.org and we will add you to the schedule. Volunteers are always welcome.

SPECIAL EVENTS/NEWS

The Elders Recommend David Hedman for Elder

Dave Hedman and his wife, Becky, came to New Journey two years ago after moving from Hutchison, Kansas.  David came to faith in Jesus Christ as a teenager and he and his family were active in their church in Hutchinson for thirty years before their move to this area.  While there David served as a deacon and taught children and youth with Becky in their church.  Presently, David serves with the Back-Snack team at New Journey and co-leads a small group with his wife out of their home.  David affirms the work of God at New Journey and says that it has been a place where his Christian walk has been stimulated.  David is a chiropractor and practices in Gardner. 

SMALL GROUPS

For a church our size, we have a lot of people involved in small groups. But there are still those who haven’t connected yet. So, I wanted to ask all of you a favor. The most effective way to get people involved is through a personal connection. As you go through your week, take a moment to pray for God to provide an opportunity to share a story about your small group.
