The New Journey Update -- November 19, 2008
This Sunday ... a Reason For Thanks
Thanksgiving is upon us and with it another opportunity to give thanks to our Creator. This Sunday we’ll do just that with the help of a few words from the Apostle Paul in Romans 5:6-11. In addition to our teaching time we will be celebrating baptism in our morning service. Billy Kayne and Tiffany Snider will be taking the plunge to make their profession of faith in Jesus Christ known to all. Baptisms have become an entire family experience at New Journey – so expect our kids to join us for that part of our service. Bottom line – this Sunday will offer us a great way to get the Thanksgiving holiday started right. Join me as we give thanks together.CHILDREN'S AREA HAPPENINGS

COMMUNITY NEWS
Small Group Update
Eighty percent of New Journey adults were part of small group gatherings during our recent Capital Campaign. We got a lot of good feedback from those groups. So much, in fact, that some of them have plans to continue. Our groups in Spring Hill and Gardner already have plans to meet. In addition, our Crawl Through The Bible Group, Women’s group and Men’s group are now underway. I certainly want to encourage everyone to be a part of one of these communities of support and prayer. If you’d like to know more please contact Pastor Ron (ron@newjourney.org). Church is just better when it’s lived in community.
Women's Small Group
The Breathe Book Study meets Thursday 7:00 pm at the New Life Building. All women are invited to join us. It is a good time to get together and support one another.
Men's Group
The next Men's Group meeting will be December 5, 9 AM at the church office at 803 1/2 S. Clairborne Rd.
