MINISTRY TEAMS and LEADERS
At New Journey, we view every follower of Jesus Christ as a minister. God has given every one of His
people a special part to live out in His Kingdom. Our goal is to help each one locate and live out
their place of service. Stragetic leaders have been empowered to help each of us on the journey.

PASTOR: Ron Fisher
|
|
AKA, Pastor Dude, and a handful of others, began New Journey in 2000 because they believed that unchurched
people really mattered to God and that a special and distinct place to guide them toward full devotion to
Him was needed. Ron comes to the pulpit each Sunday with a laid-back style, his sermons range from the basic
principles of Christianity to the more challenging spiritual disciplines all with the intent to help lead
others to an authentic relationship with Christ.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY: Ivy Cline
|
|
While keeping up with her three kids under age 5, Ivy Cline keeps New Journey's Children's Ministry growing and
thriving as the director of the program. She's taken the ministry from a notch above a babysitting service to
a full-on Sunday school class with a wonderful team of volunteers and an excellent curriculum. Her years as a
third grade elementary school teacher are definitely being put to good use in this new role for her.

HANDS-ON-MISSIONS: Bob Shands
|
|

"Bushel Basket." In addition, he has authored a book on racial reconciliation entitled "In My Father's
House."

COMMUNITY: Michelle Gressel
|
|
Michelle Gressel can't be missed at New Journey's Sunday service - she's the one with the warm, welcoming
smile and extra-bubbly personality (that does describe so many, but you'll recognize her). All these qualities
and more make her the perfect First Impressions Ministry Leader. When asked why she serves in this role she
replied, "There is nothing like serving our God and our Church."

ADMINISTRATOR: Deb Gutierrez
|
|
New Journey's Administrative Leader - the glue keeping it all together. She started in the office as a
volunteer and now gets paid to keep things running smoothly. Deb has been with New Journey from the very
first meeting back in 2000. Not only does she oversee all things administrative, Deb also sings with the
Worship Team and often can be found helping to lead worship time back in the Children's Ministry area.
