OUR BIG FOUR
In the winter of 2005, New Journey went through a grass roots process of prayer and dialogue together. We called the process RE:Think. Our quest was to seek God together in an effort to bring direction to our movement as a church. From that season a great clarity emerged regarding where we needed to be placing our time, energy, and resources. Specifically, four key components were clarified as the non-negotiables of our call. These components have become known as our "Big Four."

CHILDREN
The healthy love, care and guidance of children in faith is a top priority for us at New Journey. Our commitment is to provide faith-building experiences that will enable our children to know Jesus through loving relationships and knowledge in His word. We believe that this is best accomplished within a nurturing community of believers. It's in this spirit that has the majority of our adult community supporting our children's ministry - it's never mandated - it's just that important. Therefore, your children will be welcomed into a safe environment to learn, love, and grow in Jesus Christ.

COMMUNITY
Living as community - isn't just a nifty phrase. At New Journey, we are building a culture that invites and embraces a sense of belonging. Here you will discover that caring, fellowship, and love are the tenants of our story. It's a story that encourages the process of expressing, experiencing, and exploring our community of friends, family, and neighbors. Don't worry - New Journey gives you the grace and freedom to decide if this is the place for you without being barraged by questions. So, when you're ready, we'd love to add your story to ours.

DISCIPLESHIP
At New Journey, growing up in faith matters. Jesus' calling for discipleship is as relevant today as it was back then, because it enables us to find meaning, purpose, and joy in knowing how He lived and how God wants us to live. No matter where you find yourself along this path, we invite you to discover how the power of shared study, authentic dialogue, and community provide the best platform for life change - and that's what we are after - a life like Jesus.

HANDS-ON-MISSIONS
At New Journey we think that caring for the world actually means that we should get up and "care for the world." It means that we should leave our gathering places from time-to-time and seek to bring tangible care to our neighbors. Therefore we are always looking for ways to authentically live out that care in the name of Jesus Christ. It's important to note that we believe the God we serve has unlimited resources - but that God hasn't called us to fix every problem.
